What it is

A facial built around clearing congestion: thorough cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extractions where they are appropriate, and a calming finish that does not sit heavy. It suits skin that feels congested, looks bumpy across the forehead or chin, or breaks out somewhere predictable.

It is a spa facial, not acne treatment. That distinction matters, and we would rather draw it before you book than after.

What to expect

We look at what is actually there and adapt: congestion, active inflammation, or marks left behind by past breakouts. Not everything can be extracted. Pushing at something that will not move causes more marks than it clears.

Expect some redness for a short time afterwards. Leave the area alone that evening.

When a facial is not the answer

Painful lumps under the skin, acne that scars, and breakouts that have not responded to over-the-counter products are medical rather than cosmetic. A facial will not treat them, and repeated facials can waste months that a proper assessment would not.

For that, our sister clinic S.D. Medical Spa assesses acne and scarring in person. Where a prescription is involved, a nurse practitioner does the assessing and authorizing.
