What it is

Long gliding strokes and even pressure over the whole body. It is the massage most people picture when they picture a massage. Book it when the goal is to leave calmer, not to have a particular knot dealt with.

Pressure is moderate by default and the therapist can adjust it throughout.

What to expect

We will ask which areas to concentrate on and which to skip. Undress to whatever level you are comfortable with. You stay covered throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered.

If you would rather not talk during the session, say so. It is a common preference and nobody takes it personally.

When we would suggest something else

If you arrive with one area that has been tight for weeks, deep tissue (Chinese tui na) will get further than Swedish will. If you want warmth as part of it, hot stone is the one.
