The professional facial at S.D. Wellness Clinic is a standard cleanse, exfoliate, extract-if-needed and hydrate facial, with products chosen for your skin on the day. What it is

The general-purpose facial, and the right first booking if you have not had one here before. Cleanse, gentle exfoliation, extractions where they are appropriate, a mask, and moisturiser with sun protection advice.

Because the products are chosen after we look at your skin, this one adapts: the same booking can end up gentler or more active depending on what the skin will take that day.

What to expect

Bring, or be able to name, what you currently use at home. Half of what makes a facial hold up over the following weeks is what happens in the bathroom, not in the room.

Extractions are done only where they are appropriate and are stopped if the skin says stop. You may be slightly pink for a short time afterwards.

When we would suggest something else

If dullness and uneven tone are the specific complaint, book the Radiance Brightening facial. If it is dehydration and fine lines, book the anti-aging one. If it is active breakouts, book the acne facial.

If your skin is currently inflamed, broken, or being treated with prescription actives, tell us before booking — a facial may need to wait.
